It’s hard to believe it, but our baby blog is all grown up.

Next Friday is the tenth anniversary of the PokerStars Blog. If you can believe it, we started way back on April 24, 2005, with a short post by Brad Willis outlining our plans to bring the PokerStars world to your computer screen (it wasn’t a Mobile world in those days). Ten years later we’re still doing that and a whole lot more. We’ve been witness to a poker world transformed into something that would have been unrecognisable a decade ago.

Now, we’re going to throw a little freeroll party to mark the occasion.

Starting on Monday we’re running the first of four special edition freerolls, and everyone’s invited. They’ll be one each day (hopefully there is one friendly to whatever time zone you happen to be in), and all you’ll need to play is that day’s freeroll password. We’ll be publishing that on the blog, along with a selection of special articles looking back on the best of the blog form the past ten years, as well as looking ahead to the next. Here are the start times for the four $500 freerolls.

Monday, April 20: 15:00 ET (Password included here: The PokerStars Blog’s eyes, The best story we ever published, and It’s about the story, stupid)

Tuesday April 21: 20:00 ET (Password included here: Standing on the fault line, Dmitri Nobles and the accidental rabbit’s foot, and Exile.)

Wednesday April 22: 6:00 ET (Password included here: Ripples: Taking the PokerStars Blog to points unknown, The Day Ruthenberg Ruled the World)

Thursday: April 23: 19:00 ET (Password included here: All in the family, Posts you never got to read, and Confessions, deleted scenes, and the stories we couldn’t tell)

Keep an eye on our Twitter account (@PokerStarsBlog), the PokerStars Blog home page, and on this post. All three will point you to the freeroll passwords when they are available.

We look forward to seeing you at the tables, looking back on a few highlights, and hearing from some of those who have worked for the blog over the course of the past ten years. It should be a fun few hours of poker and a chance to reminisce a little. Just nobody mention how quickly ten years just flew by.

It’s something we’re looking forward to. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate.
